Ju.Lee Bridal Collection’s First Video

A very talented wedding colleague / friend of mine Oren Arieli of Awesome Shot Studios shot a short video for my bridal collection Ju.Lee last month.  I have to say that I am utterly impressed by his work!  Well, I know that he has always been talented and all but seeing what he put together for my collection was just ahhh….mazing!  It was well edited and he was able to capture the story behind my collection.

Not only was this Ju.Lee Bridal’s first video but it was also my first ever video.  I have to admit that I was little nervous before shooting but Oren was able to make me forget about the camera while shooting.  I feel like this is my mini reality TV episode as well!  What do you think?  Did I do well?  I hope you love it as much as I love it!

Ju.Lee Bridal Photo Shoot

As a custom dress designer, it is rare for me to work with other wedding pros because I don’t personally attend the bride’s wedding.  So, it is always a treat for me to have an opportunity to work them to do a photo shoot.  After a month of prepping and planning, we put together a fabulous photo shoot for the Ju.Lee collection.  Here are some of the highlights and sneak peeks of what happened last week.  You know you like to see what happened behind the scene.  Enjoy!  XOXO Judy

Portrait Photo Shoot

Celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Sarah Jessica Parker always manage to look photo-perfect.  What is their secret?  Flawless skins?  Sexy bodies?  Or maybe the combination of talented makeup artist and photographer?

The always gorgeous Jennifer Aniston.

Picture perfect Sarah Jessica Parker.

As I have never taken a professional photo shoot session before (unless you count my senior high school graduation picture), I figure that I owe it to myself to have it done.  After all, I am the face behind Iridescence Bridal Couture and my new line Ju.Lee and I should put my best face forward.  I always wonder if I can look a fraction as good as these celebrities.

Maybe you can be the judge.  Thumbs up or thumbs down?

Artist Collaboration Photo Shoot Sneak Peek

On November 29, 2010 I was invited to collaborate with some fabulous local vendors for a photo shoot with some of the dress from the  ju.Lee Collection.  This photo shoot was inspired by artworks created by a local artist named Lacey Bryant.  This was definitely my first time doing a photo shoot with an artist!

We had so much fun that day.  Lacey created some exclusive artworks for the shoot.  I was only able to capture a few images that day so I can sure with you right now.  Here is a sneak peek before the final images are released later.  Enjoy!

This is our inspiration board for the shoot.

Left:  Original artwork by Lacey Bryant.  Right:  Our take on the painting with the “Miami” dress in buttermilk color.  Lacey painted the medallion specifically for the shoot and our Jewelry Designer Suzanne Bayles created a necklace out of it!

Lacey painted the backdrop for the shoot.  Featured here is the “New York” dress in buttermilk color.

Our talented hair and makeup stylist Monina Wright was prepping model Lindsey Freitas for the shoot.

I just love the tree that Lacey created!  Featured here is the “Honolulu” dress in buttermilk.

Model Lindsey was a human easel for the paintings.  Dress: “Honolulu” in buttermilk color.

Thank you ladies for a fantastic partnership!

Here Comes Ju.Lee

There is a new girl in town and her name is Ju.Lee.  She is my muse for the new bridesmaid collection and the vision of the modern, romantic woman who is confident and independent but is also a dreamer.

This video was film during the photo shoot a couple of months ago.  Enjoy!

Ju.Lee Photo Shoot

I’m so excited to share with you some of the beautiful pictures from the Ju.Lee photo shoot at Clos LaChance Winery in San Martin, CA on June 14, 2010.  Karl Ko from Karl Ko Photography did a fantastic job along with Chyna Darner.  There were hundreds of pictures taken that day but I’m only going to show you a fraction of them.  Hey, I can’t reveal the fun all at once, right?  Don’t worry, there will be more to come!

I had loads of fun res-styling the models to create this fantasy photo shoot.  The look was very ethereal and whimsical.

Photo Shoot at Pacific Oaks Vineyard Estate

One of the most exciting parts of running a fashion business is having a photo shoot.  Typically, I will initiate the project but from time to time, other local vendors would ask me to participate.  As busy as I usually am, how could I say no?  Since I normally work by myself, it’s a treat to work with other people for a change.
